In late 1983, Bob Fursenko discovered the Australian built 1973 black XB GT Ford coupe which was the original Mad Max car.
It was sun baking in a wrecking yard in South Australia unmolested after filming Mad Max II. A rough interceptor stunt car was used for the rollover scene, however this car was the original Interceptor from Mad Max I and II.

Bob rescued the car on the spot and towed it to Franklin Side crash, where Tony Romeo went to work restoring the original bodywork.

Bob has produced a Limited Quantity of individually registered Mad Max Interceptor giant sized prints. These prints of the original Interceptor Mad Max car which was driven by Mel Gibson, are uniquely collectable and are now available for distribution.
